Yey! I have finally made a fic rec post. Here you will find fics ranging from fluff to smut to MPREGS to PWPs to shameless pr0n to the epic. These fics are some of the stories that I read and enjoyed with infinite amount of feels. (This could be considered as my early Christmas gift to the fandom since: 1. I’d rather read fics than write them & 2. I draw but sad to say I don’t have a scanner I’m poor as fuck… so, yeah).
Daycare ‘Verse – Seriously? You haven’t read this? If you say YES, then you’re missing on a A LOT. I do not know where to begin describing this fic, every time I reread this I just wish that these two wonderful AU! Charles & Erik do exist, they’re like the gay version of Marshall & Lily from HIMYM. But seriously, READ THIS NOW.
Interdisciplinary Studies - When Charles Xavier signed up to be a TA at the beginning of his graduate studies, he’d expected to be assigned to help his favourite professor from undergrad, Moira MacTaggart, with Biology 101. Instead he finds he’s been requested by Professor Lehnsherr, a man he’s never met and who teaches mechanical engineering - a subject Charles has never studied.
And it Goes Like This – this fic is AKA the Coffeeshop AU where Charles is a barista and Erik works for the FBI (I think? Or the police? I can’t remember!). Erik has this huge crush on Charles and that’s why he frequents the coffeeshop where Charles works.
One Night, Peace - Erik and Charles aren’t on the same side, not anymore. But the night that New York legalizes gay marriage, they set aside their differences for just a little while. Angst and some fluff. Set post-X2.
Come As You Are – Charles volunteers at his family’s hospital and sometimes reads stories for the patients. Erik is in a coma (he’s a teenager at this time) and every day Charles comes over to read Erik some Jane Austen romance. Years later… Erik becomes a doctor and is still haunted by the soothing voice that told him stories from years ago. THIS FIC… yes, THIS IS THE FIC. Ito na talaga.
Shatter Proof – Erik and Charles have been friends for a long time, however, Erik has been away because he works in Germany. When he does come back, he finds out that Charles has been abused by his ex (Sebastian Shaw… that scum!) and Erik goes all protective on dear Charles.
Look at Your Life, Look at Your Choices – set during the Cuban Mutant Divorce Tragedy, what if right before Erik dodges the bullets through his power a sassy gay friend appears? This was honestly hilarious!
Axis on Tilt - In which Erik takes long motorcycle rides and tries to pretend he is not in love with his best friend, who is getting married.
Having Kittens – see? I love kitten!Charles & kitten!Erik so much and I believe that among my recs, this is not the only one that falls in this category. I am weird that way, I know. So in this fic, Charles is pregnant then gets turned into a cat. ‘Nuff said.
Fluff & Kids - The prompt was for four times the kids called Erik “dad” and one time Charles called him “husband. You want cute? I’ll give you cute!
Shared Custody - “I would like to date your sister,” Azazel tells Charles after he makes a particularly fine point about Descartes’ Discourse on the Method for which Azazel has no rebuttal. THIS IS SO NICE J
Game of the Century - “Well, obviously Erik isn’t ‘just anyone,’” Charles said dryly. “He’s a valuable ally – somewhat unstable, admittedly, but it just means we need to work harder to keep him happy and keep him from kiting off on some insane, revenge-related activity.”
If You Can’t be a Good Example – While the missiles were still hanging in the air due to Erik’s power, Charles reveals that he is actually pregnant. Erik cannot believe this, gets cold feet and actually runs away. Some badass rescue happens in this fic at the near end.
Beneath the Surface – This is a pretty popular fic and I doubt no one in the fandom has never read this but JUST IN CASE you missed this, well, here you go. Charles is a marine biologist and an activist against Shaw’s vicious ways in hunting down sharks. Erik is a half-human, half-shark or a shifter in nature. That is exactly how they meet – while Shaw was trying to hunt down poor Erik.
Call Me by His Name - Charles wakes from the absence of noise.There is an empty space in his room, beside his bed. Not quiet as in an abandoned room, but utterly, featurelessly blank. Like a box made of unblemished, impenetrable metal and Charles knows before he opens his eyes. This fic issort of an assurance that although Charles and Erik are now separate entities, they still want to be with each other no matter what, and the offer always stands. Sad, depressing, but this fic is definitely worth the read.
Reckless - After returning from the confrontation in Russia, Erik and Charles have words. But for Erik, the line between anger and lust gets blurry (pre-established relationship, but early on in it). NC-17 y’all!
The Pen(is) Mightier – WARNING! This fic involves some dirty watersports so if this is not your thing… then you know what to do. I like this not because of the watersports thing, but because this is really funny! Smut, very NC-17.
Lima Syndrome – which is also known as Stockholm Syndrome. Erik & Charles, prior to the mutant war, have never met before and as the leader of the Brotherhood, Erik kidnaps the leader of the X-Men, Charles.
Miles from What We Would Miss - Erik discovers a blue-eyed, rain soaked lost little boy on the edges of Lehnsherr estate on a chance encounter. Ten years later, it takes the longest chess game in history and a few hundred miles for Erik and Charles to realise what they had both been missing from the very beginning. THIS IS CUTE J But there is TOO MUCH UST going on, argh.
Courtship – I have been following this fic for a long time now and this has just been finished days ago (still fresh!). This is an epic read, prepare your eyes and your general comprehension because this fic is quite fast paced. The story’s set in the future (far, far future). Erik is the last surviving heir to the Lehnsherr legacy and to claim his familial fortune he must marry a noble before his 30th birthday. The search begins for the bachelor (who else? Than the youngest heir to the Xavier fortune, Charles). This may seem like fluff at first but BEWARE, it is not. There is angst, a little bit of NC-17, a little bit of politics and a whole lot of UST.
What If (This is All but a Lie) - Five lifetimes they might have lived and one that they actually did. THIS WILL BREAK YOUR HEART, PREPARE YOURSELVES L
Phantom Limbs – Charles makes himself forget, Erik is there to remind him. I do not know my feelings for this fic :-/.
Cafuné - So of course, the rest of the afternoon was spent in a rousing game of ‘What Can We Do To Make The Professor’s Tail Puff Up Like A Bottle Brush?’ I LOVE THIS FIC! This is just pure fluff. Charles has a secret: he apparently has a cat tail, cat eyes and cat ears that he tries to hide as much as possible… well, not for long.
The Cat’s Meow – here is another fic for my favourite kitty!Charles kink. Erik (again) upsets a mutant who is able to lash out curses that involve somebody’s most loved and cherished individual. For Erik, it is his cat named Charles. Erik thought everything was normal, until he enters his room and finds a naked man on his bed and his cat nowhere in sight. LOVE THIS FIC J Fluff and a little bit of NC-17.
In the Moonlight, a Joy Ride – one of my favourite situations in a Cherik fanfic is where Erik and another male (in this case, Logan) fights over Charles’ affection. In this fic, Charles is a volunteer librarian (still 17, I think?), Erik & Logan are both students at a university. Cute, hilarious and just full of teenage happiness!
Any Measure of Peace - AU in which there was no beach divorce. Charles has been throwing himself at Erik, but Erik refuses to give in to his desires. Something about not wanting to sully Charles’ happy life with his darkness. He’s done some things, you see. Some very bad things. Charles, however, is nothing if not persistent. So he seduces Erik with everything he’s got. Erik suffers an epic case of blue balls.
Snakes and Ladders are Banned Here - Set post movie. They never meet in public; not for fear of getting caught, but because they’re too aware of innocent bystanders.
My Arms Will Hold You - Charles brings three young recruits to the mansion: Ororo, Scott, and Jean. Much to Erik’s dismay and annoyance, the children - especially Ororo - take up all of Charles’ time. Erik realizes, however, that he and Ororo may have more in common than what first meets the eye, and that he has hidden parenting skills that he never knew about. In short, this is a domestic!adorable!fic.
Calling Out for… Love? - AU. Erik and Charles both work overnight shifts at a phone sex call centre for whatever reason - just need a job, money for the PhD, etc. On their breaks, they argue politics, drink coffee and have philosophical debates which sometimes have to continue through IMs/texts while they’re taking calls in separate cubicles, or as they’re walking home partway together at 6am. Easy, good-naturedly combative friendship, UST and love happen.
The Bawd and The John – Charles runs a brothel (but no, he is not a shameless slut in this fic) and Erik is a politician (high ranking, can’t remember for the life of me! Kill me now) and he frequents the brothel just to see Charles. I dunno guys, this story’s AMAZING and I just can’t properly produce a decent summary for this. Just read this! A lot of UST, a lot of Erik pining, moderate amount of angst and lots of Erik and Charles bickering.
50 Sentences Challenge – So, the thing is, the author provides a word/a phrase and elaborates on it based on Charles’ and Erik’s relationship. I must say, this was so wonderful, it seriously gave me a lot of feelings. JUST A LOT OF FEELINGS.
First Breath After Coma - Charles wakes up to find he’s been in a coma for two years, and the world he thought he lived in is a lie. He’s still a professor of genetics, but there are no such thing as mutants, there is no such person as Erik Lehnsherr. But why can Charles still read minds?
For Who You Are and Where You’ll Be - As far as he was concerned, he was Wesley Gibson: an ex-accountant whose prospects lay in the business of assassination. He had nothing to do with Charles Xavier.
Undone – The summary for this fic is quite long unfortunately so I’m going to sum it up to the basic plot: After X3, Charles transfers his consciousness to the guy who was in coma and decides he is on a mission: he must go back in time to prevent Erik from deviating to being Magneto. Charles is then willing to whore himself for this mission (haha!). Warnings for time travelling, a lot of NC-17 things and stuff.
So Let’s Take a Ride and See What’s Mine - Charles and Erik have to go somewhere in a car. It’s a small car. Charles has to sit on Erik’s lap. Erik gets a boner. I dunno, LOL, just funny.

“Sacrifice” - PWP - Erik is the sacrificial lamb to a culture who sacrifices in much nicer ways than most.
“More Than You Think You Are” - Warnings: non-con - “You and I, we can help Erik. You can take away his memories. Take away his pain. Make him happy. Together, we can bring the humans to their knees.”
“Trust” - The aftermath of the Cuban Beach in a reality where Erik and Raven stay.

“Exegesis” - WIP - Erik had heard legends of it, Babylon the abomination, the home to those who denied the godhead of En Sabah Nur. Sebastian had gone on endlessly about the City and the heretics who had protected it, loving descriptions from the chronicles and his own imagination concerning the destruction visiting upon it and how the Savieri had been made to pay for their blasphemy and had perished along with the humans they sheltered. “No Thanks, Atticus Finch” - WIP - Erik and Charles are two lawyers on either sides of a divorce case. Except it’s not that simple.
“Burn The World and Build On The Ashes” - WIP - Warnings: character death - Erik is brutal, despite having achieved his vengeance, and after Charles is shot on the beach, makes choices that separate him and Charles. When Charles keeps popping up and trying to foil his plans, however, Erik decides he’s had enough.
“The Deconstruction of Falling Stars” - WIP - Erik is a turian, and even though I really don’t know what that means, the fic makes it believable anyway.
“History Repeating” - WIP - honestly one of my favourite fics this fic explores Charles and Erik throughout different time periods, telling their stories, both solemn and heartwarming, humorous or tragic. From their caveman days to what may be 1962.
“Mind The Change” - WIP - Alpha/omega verse where alphas are rare, with absolutely no civil liberties. It’s only natural that most of them try to run. Erik is part of a special task force that retrieves them. One day, he is requested by Raven Darkholme to retrieve her omega brother.
“Omega Online” - WIP - “It’s hopeless,” Charles says. “I’m too distracted. Usually when I feel like this I just go to a bar and get drunk and find some nice alpha—” Charles breaks off as Erik enters the room, his furious expression evidence he’s definitely overheard that last bit. Charles wonders if maybe he’s getting an eye twitch of his own. “And ask him to escort me home,” he continues seamlessly, “as it is of course quite dangerous at night, and I would not wish to be mugged.” [excerpt]
“O Captain, My Captor” - WIP - Charles is sold to slavery by his parents when they can’t pay their debt, and he is given to Erik Lehnsherr, a pirate, who then proceeds to try and beat the fight out of him. Except in the moments where he’s almost tender.
“Space Jam” - WIP - Prince Charles Xavier is Deputy Commander of the TEF Heartsteel and the newest mission they’ve been assigned starts out less than desirable and quickly goes downhill from there. It’s alright, though, he’ll cope. It doesn’t help, though, that he’s in unrequited love with his best friend and Commander of the Heartsteel, War-Prince Erik Lehnsherr. [fic summary]
“Start a War” - WIP - Erik is an adroid whose model was recalled and destroyed years ago, so when Charles Xavier finds him, the least he could do was not turn him in to be destroyed.
“Put on a Slow, Dumb Show For You” - WIP - Charles owns a coffee shop, Erik is a corporate lawyer (and owns some really nice suits). Things get a bit hazy from there. [fic summary] Except of course Charles has trust issues and Erik really shouldn’t be trusted, and coffee shop owner and lawyer is really not an accurate job description.
